Description
Zopiclon 7.5 mg 1 strip
Zopiclone belongs to the class of drugs called central nervous system depressants. This medicine acts on the brain and nerves to produce a calming effect. It makes you feel sleepy and less alert. This medicine is used to treat insomnia in patients who have trouble sleeping. This medicine helps the patient fall asleep faster compared to the time it takes the patient to fall asleep without using zopiclone. It also reduces the number of times the patient wakes up during the night and allows the patient to sleep longer. This helps him sleep peacefully at night. This allows the patient to wake up refreshed in the morning. However, if this medicine is taken for a long time, it may generally stop working in the patient.
Precautions
when using zopiclone
Before deciding to use zopiclone, the risks of using it should be weighed against the benefits of using it. This medicine is prescribed by the doctor only if, in the doctor’s professional judgment, the benefits of this medicine are greater compared to its side effects.
After using zopiclone, a certain form of memory loss, called amnesia, may occur. In such a case, the patient does not remember what happened during the period in which the medicine exerted its effect. This is generally not a problem as this medicine is sensibly taken at night and the patient sleeps after taking it.
Certain precautions must be taken before using zopiclone. If you are allergic to this medicine or any of its ingredients, please tell your doctor during your check-up. Also inform your doctor if you are allergic to preservatives, animals, any kind of food, dyes, etc.
Drug interaction with certain
other medicines may increase the risk of side effects or change the way the medicine works. During your check-up, tell your doctor which medicine you are taking. The list of such drugs and medicines includes prescription and non-prescription drugs, and herbal products that you use. While taking zopiclone, tell your doctor if you are taking certain drugs, including sodium oxybate, oxymorphone, morphine sulfate liposome, morphine, meclizine, hydrocodone, fospropofol, fentanyl, carbinoxamine, or buprenorphine.
